WHAT’S NEW
BALANCING
GAMEPLAY
Added Recoil Smoothing system where recoil intensity is reduced if the player is aiming at a certain speed threshold.
Improved the bullet magnetism on Gadgets to help players shoot small Gadgets like Drones and Cameras from a distance.
Buffed the 93R’s rate of fire.
Buffed the SMG-11's damage and critical range.
Nerfed lightweight Operators' speed multiplier to 1.05x instead of 1.1x.
Removed the full-body scan in all game modes.
Adjusted Auto-Shoot timings for burst-firing weapons.
Changed smart pinging to identify enemies when pinging their unique Gadget or the Operator themselves.
Barbed Wire now deals damage while moving through it.
OPERATORS
Implemented a new cooldown for Dokkaebi’s Gadget. The Logic Bomb ammo starts at 0, and generates 1 charge every 45 seconds, preventing Dokkaebi from calling Defenders immediately after spawning (maximum of 2 charges per Round).
Reduced Twitch’s Shock Drone’s taser shot targeting angle and distance.
ATTACHMENTS
Updated the default optic's reticle to be more in line with Rainbow Six Siege and renamed it from "T2 Dot" to "T2 Reflex".
Developers Note: The goal of the attachment system is to allow for a lot of variety in play styles, so these changes aim to spread the use of all of them for different situations. ADS movement speed and ADS transition speed were very powerful, so in many cases we had to replace them with other stats. We’re experimenting with some of them, and we will observe and readjust as needed.
Internal Attachments
Improved Wallbuster Bullets.
Removed the Mag Size penalty.
Reworked Light Bullets.
Now increases Critical Range, at the cost of increased first shot recoil.
Reworked Piercing Rounds.
Now gives hitmarkers on penetrated hits, at the cost of less damage and destruction.
Developers Note: Previous design increased damage on penetrated hits and we felt like it was frustrating to play against. Instead of dealing more damage, players can use this modifier to track if their wallbangs are hitting, while giving the opposing player an opportunity to react.
Reworked the Lightweight Frame.
Removed ADS Transition Speed buff, replaced Hip Fire Accuracy debuff with Recentering Speed debuff
Reworked the Heavyweight Frame.
Replaced Melee Destruction buff with a Lean Speed buff.
Replaced Weapon Swap Speed penalty with ADS Movement speed penalty.
Grip Attachments
Improved the Hip Fire Grip.
Replaced the downsides with a Critical Range penalty.
Reworked the Lightweight Grip.
Replaced ADS Movement Speed buff with a Movement Speed buff outside of ADS.
Reworked the Hammer Foregrip.
Now breaks studs with melee and destroys Barbed Wire in one hit.
Still increases Melee Destruction Size like before.
Adjusted the Vertical Grip.
Both buffs and debuffs are more noticeable.
Barrel Attachments
Nerfed the Shotgun Breaching Barrel.
Increased the Accuracy penalty.
Adjusted the Shotgun Compensator.
The Damage Range stat now works in meters instead of a percentage, so it feels like a similar buff for all shotguns.
Increased the Accuracy penalty.
Improved the Muzzle Brake.
First Shot Recoil buff now affects vertical and horizontal the same way.
Improved the Breaching Barrel, Choked Muzzle and Suppressor.
Removed all debuffs from these attachments.
Developers Note: We removed the debuffs to make these attachments more competitive with other attachments.
Improved the Extended Barrel.
The Damage Range stat now works in meters instead of a percentage, so it feels like a similar buff for all weapons.
Replaced ADS Speed penalties with a Sprint-to-Fire speed penalty.
Laser Attachments
Adjusted the Mini Laser.
The laser is now blue with no dot, to make it clearer that the enemy does not see any laser on this attachment.
Rebalanced the High Precision Laser.
Laser is now only visible in ADS.
Slightly increased Recoil Control.
Reworked the Smart Laser.
Now buffs Tactical Focus Speed and First Shot Recoil, at the cost of severely slower ADS Transition and Movement Speeds. Laser is now always visible.
Developers Note: This is meant for a very specific play style relying on Auto-Shoot, and limits your options.
Reworked the Tracking Laser.
Now helps with Gadget targeting. Only the laser dot is visible.
SEASON PROGRESSION
Rebalanced the Daily/Weekly challenges for the Ice Storm season:
Originally, Daily challenges granted 100 Renown per day, and Weekly challenges granted 800 Renown per week.
