In Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown, when progressing far enough into the main story quest, you can unlock the Shadow of Simurgh.
 
The Shadow of Simurgh is a Time Power that can be used for repositioning in combat, solving puzzles, and returning to a safe platforming section.
 
After you unlock the power, you can tap the button on touch HUD or press the assigned key to activate it (controller).
 
Sargon will leave behind a shadowy copy of himself.

In case of touch controls, the button icon will change and for controller an icon on the bottom left of the screen will indicate if there is a shadow active in the room or zone you are currently in.

Tap the button (touch) or press the assigned key (controller) again to  teleport  back to the position of your shadow.

The shadow will disappear when you use the Time Power to teleport yourself, when you fall in a trap, if you die or, when changing to a different room or zone.

You can also remove the shadow manually by pressing and holding down the button or assigned key for the Time Power.
