How do I reinforce gear?

To reinforce your gear:

Go to the inventory or to the hero details screen.
Select the gear you want to reinforce.
Open the gear's details pane.
Select the gear you want to sacrificed in exchange for gear XP.
Select enough gear to fill the bar and reinforce the gear to the next level.
Now your gear is reinforced and its stats have improved!
