In Gwen's Getaway, your aim is to clear the grid meeting all of the level goals. Power-ups are items that help you complete the levels with more ease. Power-ups are created by matching at least 5 blocks of the same color.
- Rockets collect all blocks in a row or a column based on the direction it is pointing. The direction of a created rocket is random. Match 5 or 6 blocks of the same color to create a Rocket.
- Firefly Jars collect all blocks in a square 3x3 area. Match 7 or 8 blocks of the same color to create a Firefly Jar.
- Magnet collects all blocks on the grid which match the color of the magnet. Match 9 or more blocks of the same color to create a Magnet. The color of the blocks used to create Magnet will determine the Magnet color.
Note: If blocks have multiple stages in them, power-ups will advance the block to the next stage.
You can also choose power-ups before a level starts. These power-ups will appear on the grid at the beginning of the level. The following starter power-ups are available:
- Rocket - Adds a Rocket to the grid at the beginning of the level.
- Firefly Jar - Adds a Firefly Jar to the grid at the beginning of the level.
- Magnet - Adds a Magnet to the grid at the beginning of the level.
[Link]Gift from Mom[/Link] can also add additional power-ups to the grid at the beginning of the level.
