Why is Rainbow Six Mobile's age rating changing on Google Play?
Between July 7 and July 14, 2026, Rainbow Six Mobile's age rating on Google Play is being updated to 18+ in most territories worldwide. This change is driven by local regulations and platform requirements and is not optional.
The rollout is happening in two waves across this window, which is why you may see the change apply at different times depending on your country or region.
Why is the rollout spread across multiple days?
The update is being applied progressively across territories. Different regions are handled by different local rating boards, and the timing of each board's confirmation can vary. We expect the full rollout to be completed by July 14. Your territory's rating update will apply as soon as it is confirmed by the relevant board.
Will the rating change to 18+ in every country?
In most territories, yes. However, depending on the local rating board's classification, some regions may see the rating updated to a level other than 18+ — for example, 15+ with revised content descriptors. The update will reflect the rating result confirmed by the relevant local board in your territory.
I'm under 18. Will I lose access to the game?
Players under 18 may no longer be able to access Rainbow Six Mobile on Google Play once the rating update applies in their territory. Whether you are affected will depend on:
- The age information associated with your Google Play account
- Your territory and the rating confirmed by the local board
- Any parental control settings active on your device or account
We recommend reviewing your Google Play account information and device settings to understand how this may affect you.
What should I do to prepare?
- Check your age information on your Google Play account and ensure it is accurate.
- Check your Ubisoft account settings to ensure your details are up to date.
- If you are a minor, speak with a parent or legal guardian about your account situation before July 14.
I'm a parent or guardian. What does this mean for my child's account?
Once the rating update applies in your territory, Rainbow Six Mobile will be classified as 18+ (or equivalent) content on Google Play. Depending on your family's account and device setup, your child's access to the game may be restricted.
Google Play offers parental control tools to help you manage what content is accessible on your child's device:
Google Play Parental Controls – Official Guide
If your child uses a Google Family Link-supervised account, content at or above the restricted rating will be automatically blocked and cannot be overridden.
We encourage parents and guardians to review their family's settings ahead of July 14.
I'm an affected underage player and I've made purchases in the game. Can I get a refund?
Yes. If you are an underage player who loses access to the game because of this rating change and you have made purchases, please contact our Rainbow Six Mobile Player Support team. We will review your case and provide a full refund where applicable.
